Producers Tammy & Kelly Rundle join Tazz Hines on WQUD-FM 107.7 to talk about the upcoming premiere of their first docudrama, Sons & Daughters of Thunder.
We had such a great time talking about Thunder and the upcoming premiere with WQUD-FM 107.7 radio host Tazz Hines on a chilly March 2nd late afternoon. The hour-long program breezed by. Tazz will attend the premiere on March 16th at the Putnam Giant Screen in Davenport, Iowa. He appears in two scenes in the film as a Lane rebel.
Thank you for being a part of this film journey, Tazz, and for inviting us on the show!
Remember to order your tickets for the Sons & Daughters of Thunder premiere at the Putnam Giant Screen. It is nearing capacity, so do not delay! Visit Putnam.org/calendar.
Sons & Daughters of Thunder, a new film by Emmy-nominated filmmakers Kelly and Tammy Rundle of Fourth Wall Films, is based on a play by Earlene Hawley and Curtis Heeter and tells the true story of the 1834 Lane Seminary Debates. Organized by Theodore Weld, one of the architects of the abolitionist movement, the shocking oratory sparked intense controversy and awakened a young Harriet Beecher (Stowe) to the horrors of slavery. Beecher-Stowe went on to pen “Uncle Tom’s Cabin.” The novel changed American public opinion in favor of abolition.
Through its fiscal sponsor, the Moline Foundation, Thunder has received a grant from Quad City Arts Dollars --funding provided by the Illinois Arts Council Agency, Hubbell-Waterman Foundation, and John Deere; and the Illinois Arts Council.
