After four major auditions for the new docudrama Sons & Daughters of Thunder by producers Tammy and Kelly Rundle of Fourth Wall Films, casting is nearly complete.
Casting director Kimberly Furness auditioned nearly 100 actors for fifteen lead roles, including abolitionist Theodore Weld, Harriet Beecher the author of Uncle Tom's Cabin, her sister Catharine Beecher, and their father Lyman Beecher.

"It was an extremely challenging process, as there are so many incredibly talented actors to select from," said producer Tammy Rundle.
"We believe we have found the right people to bring this true story to life," said Furness. "We will be notifying cast members next week and then announcements will be made."
The Rundles recently met with Thunder playwright Earlene Hawly on her 84th birthday and her husband and co-producer Kent Hawley to discuss the auditions and the actors being considered for the lead roles.

Major filming on Sons & Daughters of Thunder begins in October and will continue through May of 2014.
