Los Angeles actor Mark Winn has been cast as Frederick Douglass in the new docudrama Sons & Daughters of Thunder by Kelly and Tammy Rundle of Fourth Wall Films.
The film is based on the award-winning play by Earlene Hawley and Curtis Heeter and tells the unforgettable true story of the beginning of the end of slavery in America.
An actor of stage, television and film, Winn is excited to take on the role of Frederick Douglass, a great black orator, writer and leader of the abolition movement. A man Winn has long admired.
Filming on "Sons & Daughters of Thunder" will begin in November/December of 2012.
