Hi Kelly and Tammy - I'm the Route 6 Travel writer/blogger, Malerie Yolen-Cohen. I made the complete trip from May 20-June 30 this past spring traveling east to west (I live in Conn), meeting up with Dave when I got to Iowa. I wrote a travel-blog before, during and after the trip - and I'm in the process of compiling a guidebook which will be available (hopefully) by late winter/early Spring 2012. To answer your question, the final scene of Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times was shot near Santa Clarita, CA on Route 6 - here's my blog and a link to it: http://stayonroute6.blogspot.com/2011/02/charlie-chaplin-in-modern-times-on-6.html
