The City of Silvis has announced that it will hold a special Veterans Day Service at Hero Street Memorial Park in Silvis, Illinois on Saturday, November 11 at 11:00 a.m.
Col. Daniel Mitchell, Commander, U.S. Army Garrison Rock Island Arsenal will join U.S. Congressman Eric Sorensen, and Brian Munos U.S. Navy (Ret.) for the special service honoring our military Veterans.
Those who attend the service are reminded to bring lawn chairs.
Veterans Day is a federal holiday in which Americans recognize those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
