Two special Memorial Day Services will be held on Saturday, May 26th at Hero Street (1st Avenue and 2nd Street) in Silvis, Illinois.
At 10:45 a.m. until 11:55 a.m. at the Hero Street Memorial Monument, located on the corner of 1st Avenue and Hero Street in Silvis, Illinois the first service of the day will feature speakers East Moline Mayor Reggie Freeman, Command Sgt. Maj. Richard K. Johnson of First Army, Rock Island Arsenal, and Ernest Manrrique. A 21-gun salute and taps will be presented.
