Filmmakers Kelly and Tammy Rundle of Fourth Wall Films were invited to attend the June 2013 dinner meeting of the Mexican-American Veterans Association (M.A.V.A.), Hero Street Chapter #4 at the Ybarro Gomez VFW Post 8890 in East Moline, Illinois to chat with members about their new documentary film Hero Street.
Several M.A.V.A. members shared stories and memories of growing up on Hero Street in Silvis, Illinois.
The Hero Street Chapter turns 28 on June 21, 2013 and the list of community projects funded and supported by the group is long and impressive.
