We were five days packing in Los Angeles. We were five days late leaving for the Midwest. Eighteen years of roots were deep, and toward the end it seemed like we were never going to get out of town. In the end the late departure saved us from being trapped in the middle of a late season blizzard. It took five days to travel to Moline. With help from our impromtu move team, the moving van that took us five days to load was unloaded in just five hours. Check out our photo album to see for yourself. Moving is a nightmare. Cross-country moving is...well, let's just say we don't plan to move again until we can no longer handle all the steps in our five-level...make that four-level...flat-roofed Mid-Century Modern house. : )
