They say preparation is key when it comes to installing a vinyl composite tile floor. With the mop boards, carpet, and carpet strips removed, the first order of business was filling small cracks and carpet strip nail damage in the floor.
I spent nearly an hour determining where to place the first tile using checks and rechecks that would have made engineers at NASA proud. Why? Because if I get the first one wrong things will really go bad by the time I'm in the next room.
