Okay, my wife looked at me skeptically and slightly doe-eyed when a got these wooden mid-century modern deer in my sights.
They were only four bucks at Bentford Antiques in downtown Clinton, Iowa!
In spite of my fawning, I had some doubt. My backup plan was to decorate them as "reindeer" for the holidays.
However, the dear ones seem to fit right in.
Recently I noticed them seemingly staring into the morning sun, and suddenly they seemed like the perfect metaphor for how we are all feeling about the economic crisis.
Am I right? : )
