We are always on the lookout for midwestern antique stores that feature mid-century modern items and we recently located another one in Iowa City, Iowa: Artifacts! Lots of great items to peruse and take home. We left with two modest treasures that I will feature in a separate post.
The owners/clerks are friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. It's an MCM store for the rest of us! : )

I wish I could tell you there were many more hidden mid-century shopping treasures in IC, but Artifacts is pretty much it! Can be hit or miss, so I try to stop by often.
A bonus is that it's such a nice area around the shop, it's a great place just to walk around - not to mention, there are a number of terrific restaurants right there.

Thanks for the great little article about our shop! It was a delight to meet you both. I also love the shots of Cedar Rock. We've been planning an autumnal excursion there for years, and finally got there last week. It's a real gem! Hope to see you soon. Todd
