Yes, winter is officially here and we have the snow and ice to prove it. It was a balmy 5 degrees this morning and the forecast promises more of the same.
I just finished putting an old tube TV in a wall on our lower level. I know it sounds a little daffy...but please withhold judgement. It's been a gradual process up until last Saturday. I'm eager to share pics in my next post.
In the meantime, for those of you in warmer climes, here's another view of our frozen MCM home.
GORGEOUS!!... all the more precious in a region which, I gather, never built much of this genre. i.e. rare to see snow on MidMod, or as we call it in So-Fla, MiMo! (Snow loads on FLAT roofs gives one pause...si/no?)
I'm very intrigued with the "terraced" or tri-level fascia/flashing. Great effect. I think that would work even in the sub-tropics. Great looking soffits too... are those recessed lights over the catwalk?
Also interested in the architect, year built, floorplan, etc... SPILL the goods! ;')
Anyway, classy elegance plus great "WOW", artfully combined! Enjoy! Via Vivace!

Hello... paging MidWest-MidModders... come in MW-MMs... ;')
Dang, this blog is NOT easy to navigate.
If details on the origins and architect of this house is already on yet another page of this blog, I'd appreciate a URL... throw me a bone... lol.

Hi Enzo. Information on the architect and origins of our house is in progress. When we have it ready we are eager to post it. I'm sorry it's not already on the site, but it takes a while to track everything down. The original owner recently died in Florida. I had hoped to talk with him, but didn't know where he was until it was too late. Thanks for your interest in our Midwestern MiMo. :)
