"Lost Nation: The Ioway" to Air on WQPT-PBS Tonight!

WQPT-PBS Moline, Illinois will broadcast Lost Nation: The Ioway on November 16, 2010 at 7:00 pm during National Native American Heritage Month.  Ioway was also featured on the cover, and inside, WQPT's November program guide.

When two Ioway leaders disagree about the key to the future for their people in 1824, both men meet different tragic destinies in their battle with epic change.  What was a quest for survival in the past has become a struggle to retain a unique Native American culture and language in the present.

Lost Nation: The Ioway has been broadcast previously in Iowa, Nebraska, and Oklahoma, with additional showings scheduled in Missouri and Kansas.

"Lost Nation: The Ioway" to Air on IPTV on November 1 - Tonight!

Members of both Ioway Tribes were greeted by members of the Tongva Nation at the Los Angeles Premiere of Lost Nation: The Ioway.

Iowa Public Television will kick of National Native American Heritage Month by broadcasting Lost Nation: The Ioway at 9:30 pm on Monday, November 1, 2010.  The film will be preceeded by a broadcast of We Shall Remain, part of the American Experience series.

Lost Nation: The Ioway will also be broadcast on PBS stations in Illinois, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Nebraska during November 2010.  Details will be posted here soon.

Lost Nation: The Ioway made its broadcast premiere on IPTV-PBS during Native Ioway History Week on October 3rd.

Additional October broadcasts, include:

November, the award-winning film will be broadcast on the following PBS stations:

Monday, November 1 (following "We Shall Remain") IPTV at 9:30pm;

Thursday, November 4 Nebraska's NET-PBS at 10pm;

Tuesday, November 16 Illinois' WQPT-PBS at 7pm;

Thursday, November 18 Kansas City, MO/KS KCPT-PBS at 8pm;

Tuesday, November 23 Oklahoma's OETA-PBS at 9pm.
