"The Ioway in Missouri" Receives 2009 Governor's Humanities Award

Greg Olson's award-winning book is available through Amazon.com.

Author of Ioway Book Recognized

"Each year the Governor of Missouri and the Missouri Humanities Council celebrate the accomplishments of people who have made exceptional contributions to our understanding of Missouri, its people, and its stories," states the Missouri Humanities Council.

This year Greg Olson is one of the recipients of the Missouri Governor's Humanities Award for his book The Ioway in Missouri.

Olson's work combines compelling storytelling with thoughtful recommendations for further study, and includes a bibliography and index. It is an excellent companion to our documentary Lost Nation: The Ioway. Olson appears prominently on-screen throughout the film and served as a historical consultant.

Congratulations to Greg on this well deserved honor and acknowledgment!
