The University of Iowa Museum of Natural History in Iowa City, Iowa will host a FREE screening of the historical documentary film Lost Nation: The Ioway at 2 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2009.
Iowan's think the word Iowa means "the beautiful land." Instead, it refers to the beautiful Native American people who once called Iowa home. Ioway tells the fascinating but forgotten story of the Ioway Tribes from their ancestors called the Oneota, to their present day locations in Kansas and Oklahoma.
